The Melody, a community of 40 innovative micro-units crafted from repurposed shipping containers, is a testament of the transformative power of community, collaboration, and compassion. The first of many projects that are part of the City of Atlanta’s Rapid Housing Initiative.
Each individual unit consists of a kitchenette, sleeping area, and private bathroom, with 32 of the 40 units meeting ADA compliance standards. Not only is there fully staffed onsite property management but there is also wrap-around supportive services provided by licensed clinicians and peer support specialists.
To our very special tenants, The Melody is not just a temporary shelter, this is their HOME. The management and supportive services team works closely with each tenant helping them transition from survival to self-sufficiency.

Atlantica Properties brought this innovative project to fruition, turning shipping containers into 40 apartment units in less than four months. Thus creating a blueprint for rapid housing that can be utilized across the nation.
